Injectables

Elastagen’s lead product development program targets the development of an injectable synthetic human Elastin product for aesthetic applications.

Elastagen is working with three separate formulations of synthetic Elastin in order to produce a range of injectables for aesthetic purposes. These include:

• chemically cross-linked Tropoelastin;
• a self polymerizing formulation of pure human Tropoelastin which requires no chemical cross-linking; and,
• a formulation based on Elastospheres; stable Elastin spheres which replicate a natural step in the process of Elastin production which occurs in the developing human.

Elastagen has shown its formulations to be stable, biocompatible and to persist in vivo through a range of preclinical studies.
